Our Vision

Ours is a self-help, non-profit, mutually-supportive and multidimensional group of senior citizens, predominantly living in Aashiana and adjacent colonies at Lucknow. Our main focus is on those senior citizens who are staying alone because their family members are residing beyond immediate reach in emergency. The aim is to minimize the sense of isolation, insecurity and loneliness by promoting a healthy neighbourhood community, through active communication, visits and building trust in human values. It is intended to enhance the joyfulness in life by nurturing the concept of a larger family when the family support is not physically around, by engaging each other in playful activities, rekindling hobbies and sharing the rich experiences of life. In a nutshell, we are attempting to develop a larger family of non blood relatives to help each other in joys & sorrows.

The membership and participation is kept hassle-free (absolutely no fee of any kind) and is to reinforce mutual trust and fellow-feeling among the members. After all, we are neighbours for a divine reason, to help each other, live richer and better lives — physically, mentally and spiritually. As the group evolves, the activities which would cover more and more areas of common concern, of course within limitations of physical ability.

हमारा लक्ष्य

हम, ऐसे एक गैर लाभकारी और बहुआयामी स्वयं सहायता समूह का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं जो लखनऊ के आशियाना और आसपास के क्षेत्र के सेवा निवृत्त और ऐसे एकाकी नागरिकों को, जिनके परिवारीजन नौकरी/कारोबार के सिलसिले में बाहर रहते हैं, एक साथ जोड़ कर उनको सम्मानपूर्वक और सुविधापूर्वक जीवन व्यतीत करने में सहायता देने हेतु प्रतिबद्ध हैं। हमारा उद्देश्य सदस्यों के मध्य आपसी मेलजोल, प्रेम, सद्भाव, भाईचारा और परस्पर सहयोग की भावना को दृढ़ रखना और अकेले और उपेक्षित से महसूस करने वाले बुजुर्गों को परिवार जैसा वातावरण और सहयोग देना है ताकि वे निराशा, एकाकी और उदासी के वातावरण से इतर सुरक्षित, प्रफुल्लित, जीवंत और सम्मानित अनुभव करें।

हम लोग एक ऐसे विशाल परिवार का गठन कर रहे हैं जो पारिवारिक रक्त संबंधों नहीं वरन वसुधैव कुटुंबकम् के सिद्धान्त पर आधारित है और जहां सारे सदस्य एक दूसरे के सुख दुःख में सहभागी हैं।

इसीलिए इस समूह में सदस्यता और सहभागिता को पूर्ण रूप से शुल्क रहित (फ्री) रखा गया है ताकि किसी भी सदस्य को समूह में शामिल होने में कोई हिचक नहीं हो।

हम अपने सभी सदस्यों के सम्मान, स्वास्थ्य सहायता, हितों तथा किसी भी प्रकार की सामाजिक आवश्यकता की यथा संभव पूर्ति हेतु संकल्पबद्ध हैं।
